Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

Do you love pumpkin recipes during the Fall?  As you know, I created my own homemade pumpkin spice and we have almost used the entire jar of it already.  From adding the spice our baking recipes and coffee to now making this pumpkin smoothie – I know I’ll be putting together another mix before winter has even arrived.

Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

As a blogger I am sometimes mailed samples of items to try.  I’m not always able to share each of them with my readers for lack of time but this recipe turned out delicious, simple and healthy.  I was recently introduced to pumpkin flavored noosa yoghurt.  I knew the kids would love eating it straight from the package for an after school snack.  My teen is obsessed with pumpkin everything so she ate it for a quick breakfast.  I’m obsessed with smoothies so I decided to add it to my NutriBullet.

My daughter’s first reaction when I peeled the banana to add to the pumpkin spice smoothie was “why are you ruining a perfectly good pumpkin flavored smoothie” but she can admit she was wrong.  Besides the fact I love bananas, by adding one to this smoothie it provided a serving of fruit, some thickness to the smoothie and helped balance the taste between sweetness and spice.

How to Make a Healthy Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

I love my NutriBullet and use it often, however you can use any blender to make your smoothie.  Slice the banana and add to your blender, dump the pumpkin noosa yoghurt on top and then pour some almond milk for liquid.

This pumpkin spice smoothie is delicious any time of the day but makes a healthy and quick breakfast.  If you want to add some protein to the smoothie just toss in a small spoonful of peanut butter.

Full Disclosure: I received samples of the noosa yoghurt complimentary to try. All opinions are 100% my own.  I was not compensated for this post. I just love sharing pumpkin recipes in the fall.
