Nicholas Sparks Summer Reading Challenge
My teen daughter and I have started a new summer reading challenge. Our goal is to read all of the novels written by Nicholas Sparks by the end of this summer. Nicholas Sparks has been one of her favorite authors for years now. Although I had not previously read his books, I always loved the movie adaptations. Each time one of his movies came out in theaters my daughter and I made it a girls night to see it.
We recently had the pleasure of meeting Nicholas Sparks in Dallas on the media tour for The Longest Ride. I think this was the highlight of T’s year. She even interviewed him!
T has a head start on me since she has been reading his novels for a couple of years now. She has already read Dear John, Safe Haven, The Lucky One, The Last Song and The Longest Ride. Whereas, I have only read The Choice so far. Which I just read last month to start this challenge.
We headed to our local Half Price Books and bought several of the books we hadn’t read. Next on my list to read is The Wedding. Since I named my son after the Noah in The Notebook I figured this would be a great book for me to read.
