To celebrate This Is Where I Leave You opening in theaters this Friday, September 19th – I am giving away a prize pack to one lucky reader courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures.

Seeing new photos released for the movie makes me even more eager to see it.

When our family gets together we sit around and laugh at videos or funny things we find online.  We share with one another from our smartphone while gathered close.  I can already imagine I’ll be laughing at this scene.

I already joke with my teenage daughter now that I’ll be the mom shown in this photo.  I could caption this photo as the daughter saying “really, mom?!” and the mom saying “I told you!”.  No matter how old my kids get, if they deserve a lecture, they’ll receive one.  I’ll also spoil my grand-kids and be as involved as my children allow me.  They will always be my babies, even as grown adults.

  1. It will be my sister who will do both. I am trying to win because she helps me out a lot while I work, watching my kids for me. Would be a great way to show my appreciation for all her help

  2. If I watch a movie first I almost never go back and read the book, and if I do read the book I’m usually disappointed because it’s way different than the movie.

If I read the book first and I like it then I often will want to watch the movie when it comes out. But usually the movie is disappointing because it’s so different than the book.

  3. I’m not going to have time to read the book on this one since I have plans to see the movie with friends in another week. I’ve heard it’s so good though!! I want to.

  4. I would love to go see the movie with my 4 daughters. We are all HUGE fans of Jane Fonda and we love her comedies!! 🙂 The book can come later 🙂

  5. I’m going to try to read the novel first — it’s gotten such great reviews that I think it’s worth it to get a deeper look at the characters before seeing the movie.

  6. I always prefer to see the movie first. Books are always more detailed and I tend to get annoyed with the movie when I read the book first lol.

  7. I plan on seeing the movie first for sure! I love reading and going to the movies but right now I have hundreds of books on my want-to-read list, and only a few movies (including this one) on my want-to-see list.

  8. I always prefer to read the book first. I feel they keep me in suspense longer. Then I like to see how the book gets translated to the movie.
