Thanks to Disney Studios I was able to attend an all-expense paid trip to LA to celebrate the release of Disney Pixar Cars 3 on Bluray and received a review copy to facilitate this post. All opinions are mine.

We have been Disney Pixar Cars fans since the original release. Some of my son’s first words were Ka-Chow! I can quote the first two movies because we have seen them so many times. Now that he is 11-years-old, he is still just as excited to own Disney Pixar Cars 3 on Bluray today.

To celebrate the release of Disney Pixar Cars 3 on Bluray we are giving away two digital HD copies below and sharing a simple Disney Pixar Cars 3 Christmas Ornament DIY for kids.

Disney Pixar Cars 3 on Bluray

Our family watched all the bonus features and loved every minute of it. It always amazes me to see how animation is made. My son told me last night “it would be so fun to make a movie like this!” and he is right. After watching all the behind-the-scenes footage he is eager to learn more and possibly go into that career of choice.

Seeing the voice of Miss Fritter and the enthusiasm that goes into recording her voice-overs, was so interesting. It shows how well they bring your favorite characters to life. There are so many new characters introduced in this third installment of Pixar Cars and we love them all!

Have you seen Pixar Cars 3? What starts as a comeback story quickly turns into a mentoring endeavor. This is my favorite Pixar Cars movie yet, seeing the story come full circle. It reminds me of motherhood and watching your child grow up into an adult.

Kid-Craft Disney Pixar Cars 3 Christmas Ornament

DIY Cars 3 Christmas Ornament Supplies

  • green, brown, yellow, white, and black craft felt
  • scissors
  • ribbon or pipe cleaner for hanging
  • hot glue & glue gun – or craft glue for younger kiddos

Begin by cutting out the felt shapes you need to craft the ornament. This will include two yellow pieces in rounded squares/rectangles as shown, your tree and trunk, two black ovals for the tires, a white smile, white windshield, and your eyes as shown.

Begin assembling the body of the car. To do this, place the front bumper of the car (yellow) over the main body of the car. You will place it at the bottom as shown.

Add the white smile and windshield in place. Place the eyes over the windshield.

Create the tree by gluing the tree to the trunk. Add a dab of glue and place behind the tree so it looks as though the car is hauling it.

Finish by gluing a piece of pipe cleaner or ribbon to the top/back of the car for hanging. Allow to dry.
